Get ready for an exclusive adventure and join Fishing with Salty in Anna Maria Island, FL! Capt. Jonathan Soultatos, aka “Salty,” will take you on the ride of a lifetime, fishing Anna Maria Island and Tampa Bay’s most productive waters. Capt. Salty is a Florida native and lifelong fisherman. He tailors his services to all types of anglers, from novice to pro, and invites you to create lasting memories.
Capt. Salty is the host of his Fishing With Salty YouTube Channel. He has over thousands of subscribers who follow him, and now you can get the 1-on-1 experience with the expert himself.
You’ll be fishing off of a 24’ Triton LTS Pro bay boat, stocked with all the bells and whistles that make her the ideal fishing machine. Equipped with a Brand New 250 HP engine, GPS, and fishfinder, you’ll be on fish in no time. She comes with a wireless trolling motor as well, so you can move stealthily as you approach your target and pin point you on the exact spot.
The boat accommodates up to 6 guests, including children up to four can fish at the same time. She also comes with speakers so you can listen to your favorite songs while you fish.
Capt. Salty offers all techniques on his trips, including bottom fishing, trolling, drifting, fly fishing and more. Please note, fly fishing, gigging, bowfishing, and spearfishing require you to bring your own gear and may be referred out. For all other techniques, you’ll be provided with top-notch Penn reels and high end rods.
Some of your targets include Cobia, Blacktip Shark, Grouper, Snapper, Flounder, Sheepshead, Redfish,
Snook, Speckled Seatrout, Spanish Mackerel and You can even have opportunities to catch Tarpon.
Your fishing license is covered by the boat and fish cleaning services are included as well. Just arrive on time, bring snacks and drinks, and don’t forget the rub on sunscreen. Capt. How many people can

We can take up to 6 paying passengers.
Can we keep the fish
that we catch?
What is the best time
of day to fish?
Morning, afternoon and night have equal possibilities.
Do I have to pay extra
for the bait we use?
No, the Captain catches the bait fresh each morning for the trip.
Do I have to Tip the Guide?
Do you do deep sea offshore fishing trip?
No I do Not. Because the fishing is fantastic without having to travel
out far to catch. My goal is to find
the shortest route to the hottest bite!
Can I book a fishing trip alone?
Yes, Starting prices are based on
1-2 passengers. Each additional passenger is $100 or ($150 in season)
Absolutely, any fish within the legal size and time of year according to FWC we are able to keep fish if you would like.
Is cleaning the fish included?
Yes, the Captain will be happy to clean what you can legally Catch to keep.
Do I need a Florida
Fishing license?
No, the Captain pays a yearly fee to cover your fishing license while your on the boat.
How far in advance should I book my trip?
Your Captain will work hard to earn a tip! If you have enjoyed your experience a 20% tip is customary anything in addition is greatly appreciated!
Can I add extra time on my trip?
How far out can we go?
Yes, based on availability. There is an additional charge.
We fish Inshore and Nearshore waters. What this means is that we fish up
to 9 miles in the Gulf Of Mexico (State Waters) , the bay, the river, and backcountry waterways. Where we fish is chosen by the Captain based on the bite.
Will I get seasick?
Everyone reacts differently to motion sickness, we never know if someone will experience getting seasick I recommend being proactive.
Do you say can be avoided in most cases.
Is there Age Restrictions?
As soon as possible, availability is limited during the travel months and is recommended to save your spot as soon as you can. Some people book a year in advance for the following year some people book last minute, there is no wrong way you are just more likely to get the day you wish the more in advance you book.
Do I need to bring my fishing rods?
No, all fishing rods, reels, gear,
tackle is provided.
There is no age limit. In Fact Capt. Salty is extremely patinate about teaching the next Generation in reflection of His greatest Childhood Memories! Kids love the boat and the excitement of seeing all of the fish! It’s a great experience, the entire family will enjoy and one you’ll want to take again. Everyone is welcome on our Fishing With Salty fishing trips!
I don’t have experience fishing, is that ok?
Yes, we encourage “first timers” to go with a professional to learn the skill of fishing but it is important to communicate this with your Captain.
Can we catch fish
to keep and eat?
Targeting Fish to EAT is possible most of the time. The Captain's Job is to take the shortest route to the hottest bite. With that said, Its best to ask the Captain the week of the trip what you will be targeting. If you would like to target something other than what the Captains original plans are just communicate that with him before the day of the trip. To target specific fish other than the original plans the Captain has for you there is a $100 charge.
CANCELLATION REFUND POLICY
When a booking is canceled, FishingWithSalty makes no money.
We understand, "life happens" You may cancel your charter anytime up to 7 days before your charter and you will be refunded all money paid except the $125 deposit. Your $125 deposit will be credited towards a rescheduled fishing trip with us within 365 days.
When a Customer requests to cancel their trip within 7 days of your scheduled charter you will forfeit the refund.
All cancellations by the Customer within 24 hours may be charged the balance of the charter – at the captain’s discretion.
We understand "weather happens" All cancellations due to weather are at the Captain’s discretion and if canceled by the Captain you will be refunded all money paid except the $125 deposit. You can trust that your $125 deposit will be credited towards a rescheduled fishing trip with us within 365 days.
The $125 deposit taken at the time of booking will be either held for a future trip, utilized in advertising to fill that booking date or transferred to the captain, depending on who initiated the cancellation and when it took place.
